Fundamentals of Carton Box Packaging (MS321)

SynopsisThis course covers the fundamentals of carton box packaging that is commonly used in industries such as electrical, electronic and medical equipments/instruments, as well as food and beverages.

This course is designed to give a better understanding of carton box packaging and other supplementary packaging materials to process engineers, QA engineers, packaging designers and junior engineers. Essential knowledge on the raw materials, manufacturing processes, packaging design, carton codes and reliability tests will be presented and discussed. The participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the functionality and suitability of each type of packaging materials in relation to the end products.

There will be a discussion session on packaging specifications and drawings. Practical cases of study will be studied to highlight the understanding on the specifications of typical packaging designs. It is aimed that the participants will be able to interpret most of the packaging specifications and drawings comfortably at the end of the course.
