Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) Technology and Standards - Bluetooth, ZigBee, UWB (IT30-7-0)

SynopsisThe popularity of mobile phone systems has motivated the drive towards the adoption of wireless technology in data communications. Such adoption covers short, medium and long ranges. The IEEE 802.15 standards and technologies are meant for coverage within the WPAN range. These technologies are widely known as Bluetooth, ZigBee, UWB, Wireless USB etc.

Mastering of the fundamentals and basic communication techniques of IEEE 802.15 is essential for the in-depth understanding of the existing and future standards for WPANs. It is essential for device and system designers, WPANs designers and maintenance engineers, equipment and network test engineers etc.
