How We Began
DreamCatcher began its existence in 2002 in the garden of Choo Wai Heng's house in Bukit Tambun, Penang when two old friends, Choo and Chin Soon, agreed that the DreamCatcher name sounded pretty catchy and would stick in people's minds once they heard it - and that proved true.
The plan was to major in technical training, initially focused on wireless technologies. In fact, it was Chin Soon's unemployment that was the kick start for the company - having used up his limited savings, and in a poor job market at the time, he had few alternatives but to venture out on his own. It was also with the support and encouragement of his former manager in Agilent, that DreamCatcher was able to begin its existence.
Choo Wai Heng joined soon after, again due to a downward-spiraling communications industry, and brought his management and operational experience to the company, and worked hard to bring the company through its initial growth stages.
Not long after, Poh Jin, another old friend, joined too and brought with him a sharp business acumen that would help the company to further develop and grow into a viable technical training provider to the local and regional market.
